We strongly suggest you to take your time to read all this useful information before you come to Cancun or any other part of Mexico.

The Government of Mexico requires that all travelers present a valid passport for entry into Mexico.

After proof of citizenship has been verified, you will receive a free Mexican Tourist Card, which you must keep with you at all times when in Mexico. This permit must be given to the officials upon departure. When arrive to Cancun your have to pass through the immigration service counters, after you receive your free tourist card proceed to the luggage collect area, have handy your custom declaration form since you have to pass a last custom checkpoint where you luggage could be revised by federal agents. It is not allowed you to bring to Mexico any type of firearms, knives, drugs, dairy, poultry, vegetables, plants, ham, beef, any type of prepared meals, wildlife without legal permits and certificate of vaccination.
